We are delighted to announce that we have been announced as a Top 10 Tour Operator at the 2016 Wanderlust Travel Awards. With over 500 tour operators nominated, the competition was strong and the top 10 winners all received a rating of 93% or higher. Our clients' rating of us averaged 97.19%, testament to the level of commitment and service we aim to provide.
The annual Travel Awards Survey asks participants to vote on a wide range of travel-related matters, including the top country, emerging destination, city, airline, guidebook series and more. Topping the list of travellers' favourite countries was New Zealand for the second year running. With its excellent self-drives, world-class food and laid-back culture, we agree that it is well worth visiting. Africa and South America also performed strongly, taking home the next six spots on the top 10 list with Botswana, Namibia, Ethiopia, Peru, Chile and Ecuador featured.
The top cities featured also made for interesting reading with Tromso ranked second, rated 98.33% for satisfaction, underlining the current popularity of Scandinavia and Northern Lights city-breaks. We love Tromso for its lively culture and excellent excursions (including husky sledding and, of course, the Northern Lights). Southeast Asia performed highly, with Hoi An in first place, and Top 10 entries for Bagan, Luang Prabang and Siem Reap – home to the incredible Angkor Wat.
