Vivosa Apulia Resort

Location

This tranquil enclave is just a few minutes walk through a pine forest and sand dunes to a private beach of fine white sand, and the crystal-clear waters of the Ionian Sea, referred to as the Maldives of Salento. It's a perfect spot for exploring the neighbouring villages and hamlets along the coast with their historic Norman watchtowers, built to spot the approach of Saracen invaders.

Accommodation

Each room has balcony or terrace views of the gardens or surrounding pine forests. Air-conditioning, free wifi and a marble bathroom all add to the home comforts.

Dining

Enjoy included buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners at Via Appia restaurant, based on premium locally sourced ingredients. Watch out for Salento dishes from local Orecchiette pasta to pitta di patate, a savoury pie made from mashed potatoes. The Dolce Vita Pool Bar and Scirocco Beach Bar also serve salads and snacks throughout the day. Gastronomic themed evenings and barbecues in the pine woods are also regular events throughout the season. Away from the resort, dining options around Salento range from excellent pizzerias to fine seafood dining. 

Facilities

The beach is a serious draw, but the main pools have plenty of sun loungers and cabanas to while away sunny hours to the sound of waves breaking on the beach. A range of sport and leisure activities are included, along with an outdoor cinema, whilst paid activities range from horse riding and guided hiking, to boat and sailing trips out to sea.
