You’ve got the morning today to explore Tahiti proper. Highlights include the famous black-sand Papara Beach and emerald-green Papenoo Valley, framed by thundering waterfalls, best explored on a coach drive or 4WD adventure. There’s also the chance to explore one of the world's largest underwater caves and snorkel in crystal-clear lagoons – spotting dolphins along the way – whilst the north coast is home to Venus Point, where Captain Cook observed Venus' passage in 1769. This afternoon, swap it all for Moorea’s beautiful bays and volcanic peaks, heading out on expedition cruises with a marine biologist to spot sharks, dolphins, pilot and humpback whales or exploring the island's pineapple fields, ancient stone temples and picturesque villages with an expert photographer to help you capture those all-important shots. At most ports, Regent Seven Seas offer the chance to hire a private van, SUV or boat with your own guide for a more personalised tour. Sail to Raiatea today, the second largest island in French Polynesia. Filled with lush green valleys, roaring waterfalls and pineapple and vanilla plantations, explore with a panoramic tour across the island on 'Le Truck', a windowless open-air bus, pausing at sacred sites and lagoons filled with colourful marine life. Alternatively, pair a private cruise with a Jeep drive among the verdant mountain valleys, float along the bamboo-lined lagoons via canoe or kayak or step off at neighbouring Taha’a for a tour of its World Heritage-listed religious site and black pearl farms.

Anchor in to one of the world’s most famous, postcard-perfect islands today – Bora Bora. The next two days afford you plenty of opportunities to explore, from relaxing on private islets and glass-bottom boat rides – spotting sharks and stingrays along the way – to underwater walks using special diving helmets, off-road 4WD adventures through lush valleys and jet ski rides. Explore the beautiful Bahai Temple and plantations, visit local homesteads and enjoy cultural shows as well as snorkelling, walking and relaxing among the island's blue lagoons and serene tropical beaches, lined with cascading waterfalls and rainforests.

Anchor in to Suva – the capital city of Fiji – today, with everything from traditional Fijian performances and cooking lessons to rainforest walks and longboat trips with local guides on offer to introduce you to the island's jungles, mountain lagoons, waterfalls and spice farms.

After breakfast, anchor in to the tiny Fijian archipelago of Lautoka, filled with unspoiled, forest-clad volcanic islets and coral atolls. Relax with a few hours of swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing before enjoying a tour through the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, home to thousands of exotic orchids where you’ll watch a kava ceremony and meke dance performance. We'd also recommend a tour of Lautoka's sugar mills and traditional tribal villages before heading to the Sabeto River mountain valley for a natural geothermal mud bath in the rainforest alongside a traditional Fijian massage.

You've got a final two days at sea today to explore all you may have missed on board. Perhaps browse in the luxury boutique, practice your swing at the putting green or head to a Pilates class at the fitness centre before heading to the new Galileo's Bar for a pre-dinner drink with new-found friends.

Your penultimate stop sees you anchor in the New Zealand’s Bay of Islands today. Highlights include the Glow Worm Caves, an incredible lightshow created by thousands of glowworms attached to the cave's ceiling, as well as the the towering kauri trees of Puketi Forest reserve. Explore with catamaran cruises among the caves and islands, walking tours to historic Maori landmarks and waka canoe paddles through the Waitangi Estuary's deep green mangroves, with a Maori tribal leader on board as your guide.
