Fly with SAS to Alta in northern Norway via Oslo and self transfer to Scandic Hotel Alta.

Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel
After breakfast you’ll have some free time to explore Alta, including its fascinating museum, where you can learn about the ancient rock carvings at Norway’s only prehistoric World Heritage site. In the afternoon you’ll transfer to Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel where you can splash out on dinner at the excellent Restaurant Laksetua, whose menu includes several local delicacies, including grouse breast with cream cheese, herbs and cloudberry sauce, smoked reindeer and delicious Arctic char. The indoor temperature of your igloo hotel is between -4 and -7 degrees, but your cosy sleeping bag and snug reindeer skins will keep you warm throughout the night.

Alta
Warm up in the sauna, followed by a hearty breakfast and a day of optional excursions, which include a snowmobile safari on the Finnmarksvidda and husky sledding. Transfer to Alta in the evening and check back into the Scandic Hotel for your last night. Along the way you’ll take a detour deep into the Finnmark countryside in search of the Aurora Borealis.
