Silversea has announced an epic 140-day world cruise that allows guests to visit all seven continents in one trip.
Departing Fort Lauderdale on 6 Jan 2020, Silver Whisper will visit 62 ports in 32 countries, including a visit to Antarctica – a first for any world cruise itinerary. The Legend Of Cruising 2020 World Cruise will add 40 new destinations to the portfolio of exotic places already visited by Silversea.
Silver Whisper will head south from Florida towards the sun-drenched Caribbean, before calling at ports in South America, including overnight stays in cosmopolitan Buenos Aires and vibrant Rio de Janeiro. Then, after a stop in Montevideo, the White Continent beckons as Silver Whisper and her guests spend three days sailing the Antarctic Peninsula before visiting the Chilean fjords and remote Easter Island, home to those enigmatic statues.
Heading across Polynesia, the ship will visit Australia before sailing north to compare Singapore's cutting-edge modernity with Thailand's rich history and exoticism. It's then on to Egypt and Arabia, followed by a trip-highlight crossing of the Suez Canal to arrive in the Mediterranean. Here, guests will have the chance to explore Italy's Renaissance masterpieces and Spain's blend of golden sands and grand Arabic architecture before the beauty of Ireland, Scotland and Norway's fjords bring the cruise to a fittingly dramatic conclusion. It all comes to an end in Amsterdam on 25 May, where the 380 privileged guests finally disembark after a truly once-in-a-lifetime journey.
