Spend the day in Jeddah, Arabia’s oldest city, taking in everything from the UNESCO-listed treasures of Al-Balad to the city’s bustling souks before departing aboard Explora II. Brand new and spectacular in its refinement and luxury, you can expect everything from European-inspired design to a wonderful array of leisure facilities, from a striking indoor pool to a sumptuous wellness retreat.

Petra, Jordan
Arrive at Aqaba, gateway to Jordan’s vast deserts and rich cultural heritage. Expect everything from the scorched wilderness and otherworldly landscapes of World Heritage-listed Wadi Rum to the ancient temples of Petra, star of so many movies. Take the chance to wander among spice-scented markets, explore the intricacies of Arabian cookery or make a splash in the crystalline waters of the Red Sea with its world of underwater treasures.

Luxor & Karnak, Egypt
Drop anchor in the port town of Safaga, gateway to Luxor and the great temples of Karnak. Perhaps you’ll spend a day in the company of Egyptologists as you uncover the secrets of the Luxor Temple, before sailing high above the famed Valley of the Kings on a private hot air balloon ride and visiting Tutankhamun’s tomb. Then, there’s the Colossi of Memnon to explore, while burial chambers and mighty monuments bring you face to face with one of the world’s great ancient civilisations.

Al Wajh, Saudi Arabia
Arrive back in Saudi Arabia for two days of exploration around Al Wajh. Unearth historic treasures with a tour of the old town and explore the well-preserved tombs that dot Hegra’s arid landscape. There’s also the chance to travel to Rawi in a vintage vehicle to explore archaeological sites in the ancient UNESCO-listed city of Dadan.
