La Scala is considered one of the world's great opera houses. Originally opened in 1778 it continues to host some of the best productions and biggest names in opera in the 19th century, Norma, Otello, Nabucco and Madame Butterfly were all premiered at La Scala. Our three-night break includes tickets to the opera and the chance to discover one of Italy's most vibrant cities.

Day 1
Arrive in Milan

Start your holiday in style with included airport lounge access followed by a flight to Milan. On arrival, you'll transfer to your hotel, the historic Hotel De La Ville in the centre of the city, after a welcome drink, settle into your accommodation and then spend the rest of the day exploring the city.

Days 2-3
Milan

The next two days will be spent visiting some of Milan's iconic attractions including the Brera – Milan's major art gallery. the bustling cobblestone streets and Via della Spiga, the city’s premier shopping street. The perfect starting point for exploring Milan’s most important sights. Its standout attraction is the ornately Gothic Duomo di Milano. As the largest church in Italy, it dates back to the late 14th century whose intricately detailed Baroque façade, 19th century spires and thousands upon thousands of marble figures all contribute to a truly extravagant aesthetic. And, no trip to Milan would be complete without a visit to the Galleria Umberto, a UNESCO-listed shopping gallery known for its grand, arched glass roof.

You’ll also enjoy and evening of opera at the famous Teatro all Scala for your chosen performance. Since its inauguration in 1778, it’s become one of the finest opera houses the world over, famed for its neoclassical architecture.
