Day 1
UK to Reykjavik

Begin your holiday in style with included airport lounge access before your flight to Reykjavik, where an included transfer will see you to the port to board EXPLORA I. Settle into your elegantly appointed cabins with private terrace and floor-to-ceiling windows and enjoy a closeness to the sea like never before. In fact, the ship brings the sea to all aspects of its design and facilities, with a choice of outdoor bar and lounge venues, a lovely promenade and multiple pools.

Day 2
Explore Reykjavik

Today will be spent exploring Reykjavik and the nearby volcanic region in more detail. From the world’s northernmost capital you’ll find adventure, dramatic landscapes, famed lagoons and stunning waterfalls. Discover a world of relaxation and geothermal qualities in the soothing waters at the blue lagoon before continuing on to the impressive waterfalls that are found around the capital, with the likes of Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss. Afterwards, return to the city for chic cafes, lively bars and the uniquely designed Hallgrimskirkja church.

Day 3
Northern fjords of Akureyri

This morning, you’ll rise to the view of Iceland's northern fjords and some of the largest in the region, as you dock at the quiet and unassuming town of Akureyri. On the northern side of the island you’ll discover the lesser-known region, which is abundant in natural beauty, charm and fun activities. Take to the sky aboard a small aircraft and experience the volcanic landscapes, rugged shorelines and dramatic waterfalls from a unique perspective, or by land enjoy a guided experience to see the nearby waterfalls of Aldeyjarfoss and Godafoss – both excellent available excursions.

Day 4
Maritime heritage in Isafjordur

Today, you’ll have the chance to combine culture and adventure as you head ashore to Isafjordur, a small town surrounded by beautiful countryside and marine rich waters. In town you’ll find the Westfjords museum, a great place to learn about the maritime heritage of Iceland before heading out aboard a small boat to the nearby Hornstrandir peninsula to spot migrating whales, cliff dwelling birds and arctic foxes.

Days 5-6
Day at sea and the Prince Christian Sound

After the adventures of Iceland, you’ll have some welcome down time as the ship makes its way across the open sea to Greenland. Now’s the perfect time to grab a holistic treatment or a soothing spa massage at the indoor and outdoor wellness centre or hit the panoramic outdoor running track with a personalised fitness regimen that will surely get the heart racing.

The next day, you’ll sail the Prince Christian Sound, marking your first encounter with the remote region of Greenland’s most southerly point. You’ll find a landscape full of mountains, glaciers and waterfalls and a region of the world so few get to witness.

Day 7
Small town of Paamiut

After enjoying breakfast, you’ll disembark in the small town of Paamiut, and one of Greenland's best kept secrets. This off-the-beaten-track town of less than 2,000 people is the ideal place to connect with Greenland’s remote wildness, which for the most part has remained unchanged since the ice-age. Hike the nearby trails, where you'll spot spiritual white-tailed eagles and other unique arctic wildlife or head into town an grab a coffee at a local kaffemik house to get a true sense of Greenlandic hospitality.

Greenland’s capital, Nuuk

Enjoy breakfast and coastal views before heading ashore into the country's Capital city, Nuuk. For it’s small population size, Nuuk is packed with charm, culture and adventure and deciding where to begin is no easy task. Whether you join a heli tour for a birds eye view of the world’s largest fjord, venture out aboard a small boat to spot humpback whales or discover the city’s livelier side with gourmet food and craft beer – you’ll wish you had more time.

Days 9-10
Day at sea & Qaqortoq

This morning take the chance to lie in and catch a late breakfast before enjoying a day at sea. Head to the state-of-the-art fitness centre, enjoy a spa treatment or relax by one of four pools on board, one which features a retractable roof, or simply watch the magical landscape pass by from one of the mainy open air decks.

The following day, you’ll arrive into Qaqortoq, where you’ll find quaint 18th-century buildings, a museum featuring Greenlandic culture on display and trails that lead to an old Norse settlement at Igaliku. Whilst in town, you’ll notice unique rock sculptures that form the Stone & Man exhibition, displaying local and international craftsmanship paying tribute to the region and culture.

Days 11-12
Time at sea

It’s time to say goodbye to Greenland as you set across the Labrador sea towards Atlantic Canada and the beautiful maritime provinces that sit along Canada’s eastern coast.

Sydney, Nova Scotia

This morning you’ll explore Atlantic Canada at its finest, on Cape Breton island, where the waterfront town of Sydney overflows with Canadian hospitality, artisan goods and Acadian culture. You’ll surely find a souvenir or two from the local shops where you’ll find artwork, wood sculptures and one-off glass blown pieces. For the more active, head to the far-reaching Cabot trail and enjoy maritimes views that make this region so special.

Days 14-15
Day at sea & Bay of Fundy

Enjoy a day at sea as the ship makes its way around the Canadian coast, towards the shores of New Brunswick and the impressive Bay of Fundy. Boasting the world’s highest tidal change, this unique bay is a thriving ecosystem of marine life where whales, seals and diverse birdlife are known to frequent the waters.

The next day you’ll have a chance to explore this tidal change in more detail and there’s no better place than the rock formations at Hopewell Rocks, where this dramatic change can be seen through centuries of erosion. The region is also home to some of Canada’s freshest seafood and the restaurants that line the streets of Saint John's offer up tantalising oysters, clams and lobsters rolls.

Day at sea

Today you’ll enjoy your last full day at sea, as you say goodbye to Atlantic Canada and sail down the eastern shores of New England. New York to UK

After a final breakfast you’ll disembark into the cosmopolitan mecca of New York City, where the bright lights, renowned cuisine and diverse neighbourhoods are waiting to be explored. Otherwise, your included transfer will take you the airport for your evening flight back to the UK.
