Kilimanjaro. And, you’ll be treated to the trees’ sweet aromas from the private verandah of your luxury lodge or perhaps on a tasting tour. There’s also pretty lake walks and visits to the next-door art workshop along with your lodge’s farm-to-table dining and crackling fires.

Here, private verandahs and an infinity pool look out to the lodge’s very own big-cat waterhole. You’ll also explore on included twice-daily game drives, heading out to horizonless plains dotted with iconic baobab trees to spot everything from elephants and giraffe to leopards and lions. And, you’ll stay right on its very rim, enjoying the finest in 1920s safari chic with your luxury tent complemented by the likes of plush sofas and darkwood furnishings. The all-inclusive fine dining and drinks don’t hurt either, served as the sun sets over the crater below. You’ll also follow your eyes with an included game drive, with your expert guide bringing you among brilliantly green plains to spot zebra, gazelles and buffalo – sustenance for what is Africa’s densest collection of predators, including the famous Maasai lions.

From mid-December to March these majestic creatures thunder through the camp’s grassland surrounds, tempting the likes of lion and spotted hyena out of the long grass. But, no matter when you travel, you’ll be able to track the migration further afield, your twice-daily game drives bringing you among leopards, black rhinos and bush elephants.
