Days 2-3
At sea

Days at sea are the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind and catch up with what you’ve been meaning to do. So whether that is going to the gym, visiting the spa, whale watching, catching up on your reading or simply topping up your tan, these blue sea days are the perfect balance to busy days spent exploring shore side.

Day 4
Praia da Vitoria, Azores

You'll arrive at Praia da Vitória on Terceira island this morning as you enjoy a sumptuous breakfast. Stationed in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean, and as the third largest island in the remote Azores, just over 20% of its landmass is classified as a protected national park. Endemic juniper and subtropical forests dot its interior while jagged volcanic rocks and spectacular cave systems line its shores. Choose from a number of included excursions, from an island discovery tour to exploring the ancient caves of Algar do Carvão. If you're looking to stay close by, Praia da Vitória is laden with history dating back to the 15th century. With a smattering of narrow streets, recently modernised marina promenade and a myriad of architectural marvels, the town retains plenty of its past grandeur.

Day 5
Ponta Delgada, Azores

With simple beginnings as a small fishing village, Ponta Delgada - your next stop - is now the main port of the Azores' largest island São Miguel. As you approach the island, you'll notice a backdrop of spectacular volcanic vistas, steaming hot springs and impressive landscaped gardens. Today you'll have the chance to pick from a number of included excursions. Why not opt to wander between monochrome churches and beautiful botanical gardens on the Ponta Delgada city tour. Or perhaps choose to discover the splendid natural beauty of the island on a half-day sightseeing trip including Ribeira Grande - a pretty municipality on the north coast of the island - and Lagoa do Fogo, a large crater lake with breathtaking views. This evening you'll set sail in a south-easterly direction as you prepare for dinner.

Days 7-8
Funchal, Madeira

Awash with colourful sub-tropical plants, traditional stone houses with terracotta rooftops and dramatic cliffs, Funchal is the lowkey capital of Madeira. Blessed with year-round sunshine and fertile wine lands, it is the perfect place to slow the pace and toast the thrilling scenery with a bottle of the island's famous wine. Indeed, a visit to Blandy Wine Lodge on an included excursion offers a first-hand chance to sample the world-famous produce. If however you prefer to take in the wonderful views of Funchal, opt for a toboggan and cable car ride on a half-day excursion. Return to the ship in time for dinner and departure this evening.

Day 9
Santa Cruz de La Palma

Enjoy a later breakfast as you arrive into another of the Canary Islands this morning. Despite being a volcanic island just like Fuerteventura, La Palma does not share its neighbour's arid scenery. As the archipelago's "green island", forests cover the interiors almost in its entirety, with volcanic cones, layers of small rock formations and lava fields demanding much of the attention. A selection of included excursions are available for those looking for both active and gentle activities. History buffs should walk the cobbled town streets amongst colourful colonial buildings on the Santa Cruz walking excursion. On another excursion option, Caldera de Taburiente National Park is a must for those looking to witness the incredible nature and surround themselves with the indigenous vegetation of this unique island.

Day 10
Las Palmas, Gran Canaria

The sprawling capital of the Canaries is Spain's ninth biggest city, stretches out along a sparkling coastline. An offshore barrier of lava strips waves of their power, making Las Canteras's urban beach expanse one of the best and calmest in the Canaries. Strap on your snorkel to explore the seabed, which blooms with colourful fish and tropical reefs. Or, settle back to soak in the warm glow of one of the best climates in the world, while reclining on the soft sand, which arcs along the capital's fringe. At the other end of town, La Vegueta old town is a charming stroll along cobbled streets, wandering past decorative doorways and balconies that beg to be photographed. The narrow 15th-century streets take on an extra romantic air in the evenings, as lanterns cast a soft glow over them. Calle Colon offers a hint of the street's history,  and it's here where the handsome colonial house - turned museum - of Christopher Columbus stands. Columbus stayed here to recuperate, between his boundary-redefining voyages.

Day 11
Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura

Drop anchor in Puerto del Rosario today, a busy port town on Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands. Geographically part of Africa and politically part of Europe, the island is popular for water sports, particularly windsurfing and waterskiing. Puerto del Rosario itself is notable for over thirty large murals on walls and houses, depicting everything from Spanish culture to superheroes, creating photo opportunities galore. You'll also find plenty in the way of sculptures dotted around the city, designed by local and international artists alike. Take the chance to explore the arid interior of the island, along with the famed sand dunes of Corralejo on an included jeep escapade. Alternatively, we recommend a relaxing day on an included kayaking and snorkelling excursion from one of the island's most idyllic beaches, La Lajita, located right in front of a charming fishermen town from where it takes it name. Depart late afternoon before settling down for dinner in one of the ship's many restaurants.

Days 12-13
Agadir

Boasting an impressive 300 days of sun per year, there is a reason why Agadir is Morocco’s premier holiday resort. Nicknamed the “Miami of Morocco”, the resort has sea and sand in abundance, along with a dreamy 10 km beach – perfect for travellers who want sheltered swimming or enjoy water-based fun in the sun. Agadir is thoroughly modern, having been destroyed by an earthquake in 1960 and then rebuilt under the direction of Le Corbusier. Instead of souks and medinas, think modern architecture, wide, tree-lined avenues, open squares and pedestrian precincts. Low rise hotels, boutiques and apartment blocks line the splendid waterfront.

Day 14
At sea

The next two days offer the last chance to take advantage of the ship's facilities. Perhaps try the Kaiseki restaurant for Asian specialty menus or Spaccanapoli for Neapolitan inspired food.
